Coffee with interesting stories

The coffee you drink every morning has traveled a long way to get to you.  Some coffees have had a more interesting journey than others in their travels.  Before selecting a green coffee to roast, we consider the not just the quality, but also the story of the coffee.  

For example, our India Monsoon Malabar is a coffee that goes through a special process of sitting through the monsoon season to get intentionally swollen with moisture.  This process is a replica of the conditions created whilst shipping hundreds of years ago on large wooden ships.  The flavor profile is so different when exposed to the warm wet weather that the Indian coffee industry knew they had to bring it back.  

As different coffees are harvested, some have great stories.  We like to tell you that story should you care enough to read about it. Coffee is more than just a bean (that's because it is not actually a bean but rather a seed,) it's a way of life for some!  We are happy to be a part of this process.
